My Story
Who I am.
Hey friends! I’m Myranda. I’m a graphic designer who loves DIY home projects and just bought an 80 acre fixer upper piece of land that I hope to turn into a farm one day.
I did a lot of thinking in 2020 about what I wanted from my life. I took a step back and thought about where I was in most areas of my life. I had a good job where I was able to do what I loved with co-workers who were friends. I was able to financially support myself. I had an apartment in a good area and a roommate who is one of my best friends.
It was a good life.
But I realized I wasn’t working toward the things that were on my Some Day list. You know what list I’m talking about. Everyone has one even if they’ve never say it out loud.
Some day…I’m going to own a house. Some day…I’m going to own my own business. Some day…I’m going to travel to Italy.
Some day…
I realized I was waiting for those Some Day things to just happen to me while I kept my head down doing what I thought I was supposed to do. Go to work. Pay my bills.
However, I wanted more. More involvement. In church. In my family. In projects I actually cared about.
In life.
I wanted a house that was mine and land where I could spend time outside. I wanted to not miss family events because I was too far away.
So I started small.
Ok, not really. I bought an 80 acre overgrown, fixer upper farm.
In my hometown. Two and a half hours away from the town I was working in.
I quit my perfectly good corporate job and I moved back to my hometown to pursue my dreams.
Why I decided to start a blog.
When I told my co-workers I was quitting to move back to my hometown and that I had bought land, one of them asked me if I was going to blog about my experience.
I automatically responded with no.
It had never crossed my mind to do that. I thought, I’m just figuring things out as I go, nobody wants to read about that.
But I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It was always there in the back of my mind. I love blogs. I read them all the time.
I love learning new things. So why not share my experience so others can learn too?
What will you find here?
I don’t know about you but I’m not just passionate about one thing. Can you relate? So when I decided what this blog was going to be about, I chose the three things that are most prominent in my life.
That’s not to say there won’t be some other topics sprinkled in here and there. I’m only human after all.

Home. As an introvert, it’s my favorite place to be. It just gets a little cozier during this time of year. If you are looking for ways to make this Christmas season a little extra special without leaving your house, consider crossing off a few things on this Christmas bucket list for homebodies.
